Audio Engine A2 Reviews:
Enjoy the Music.com - A2 "Great Audiophile Gift Award"
"A2 Great Audiophile Gift Award "Mated with an excellent sound source, the Audioengine A2 loudspeakers should produce many hours of musical pleasures without the pitfalls of sounding like the usual mainstream small plastic junk or apparent distortion boxes on the shelf at from your local electronics store." Stereophile - A2 Review
"I have never been more impressed with or more stunned by a component I've reviewed for Stereophile than I was with the Audioengine 2. The level of sound quality produced by this uncolored, detailed, articulate, and dynamic speaker, in all situations, was beyond reproach, and its ratio of value to cost borders on the criminal."
Home Theater (Mark Fleishman Blog) - A2 Review
"Audioengine has made an appealing product even more suitable for multimedia and gaming use. The A2 is also musical enough to compete with the better all-in-one compact systems." Website | PDF
HT Guys - A2 Review (Podcast)
"At $199 they are more expensive than most computer speakers but they are so much better than most computer speakers. In fact you may not want to limit these speakers to your desk. If you have a SONOS, Squeezebox, or Apple Airport Express with Airtunes you should consider the Audioengine A2..." Website | PDF
PB|Central.com - A2 Review
"As nice as the A2s are to set up and look at, it's the sound that really matters. The A2s I tested sound wonderful. With 60 watts of power coming from amps built into the left speaker cabinet, the A2s have plenty of punch to be used as sound system in any small-sized room. In other words, if the A5s are too big to put where you want to put 'em, odds are the A2s will do the job quite nicely." Website | PDF
ecrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity - A2 Review
"The A2s are another quality offering from the camp at Audioengine and which stand out amongst their alternatives with refined sound and classy appearance. You would be hard pressed to find an active speaker system that could give better sound quality for your portable player or computer at this price and size." Website | PDF

Tech-Temple - A2 Review
"The bass on Audioengine 2 is substantial for their size. The bass comes from some very clever acoustic and electrical design and without using any DSP or fake bass boost circuits." Website | PDF
Cool Hunting - A2 Review
"Based on the superior performance of the Audioengine 5s we were excited when their new smaller desktop speakers arrived and they don't disappoint." Website | PDF
iPod Observer - A2 Review
"The Audioengine A2s aren't flashy or feature-rich, but in this price range they're one of a kind for classic stereo sound. If you're cramped for space, or want an understated set of great-sounding speakers, we heartily recommend the A2." Website | PDF
Tech2 - A2 Review
"It's been a while since a product has come my way that I was seriously impressed with. The price of the audioengine 2 speakers is very good considering the quality, living up to the marketing claim of 'bridging the audiophile gap'. Yes, this is the cheapest 'mid-end' range there is." Website | PDF
Gadgeteer - A2 Review
"I was flabbergasted (I don't think I've ever used that word in a review before...) the first time I heard these speakers in action. Wow! They sound very much like the A5's, which means that they sound great! ...the bass is amazing and they are truly head and shoulders better sounding than other desktop speakers that I've owned in the
past." Website | PDF
Neil Vineberg - A2 Review
"The A2s replaced a set of Altec Lansing speakers wired to my new iMac 24. I was very satisfied with the Altecs. However, when I turned on the A2s, I was literally stunned by how good they sounded and how good they made music sound. The Audioengine 2s are not just great. They are extraordinary sounding speakers. They are so awesome that you actually WANT to listen to music because it sounds new and special, and that's enjoyable." Website | PDF
Enjoy The Music - A2 Review
"They sound quite good not just when sitting in front of them, but also when outside the room and listening in. Some loudspeakers have this 'cone of perfection,' a super small area where everything sounds good, yet the moment you move away from this small 'cone' location the sound goes to crap in a hurry. The Audioengine does not fit into that, fortunately, ever-dwindling category of loudspeakers.” Website | PDF
Digital Trends - A2 Review
"Audioengine recently announced the little brother to the A5, the A2 desktop speaker set. The A2 speakers are roughly half the size of the A5 and don't put out quite as much power, but seem to have just as much intensity per cubic inch as the A5's. If it wasn't for the solid reputation Audioengine has built for itself, it'd be very hard to believe that the A2 speakers can pump out a hefty 60W peak power. Which is anywhere from two to five times that of other 2.0 desktop speakers." Website | Video
Real HT Info - A2 Review (Podcast)
"These are fantastic little speakers that put 99% of Computer Speakers and iPod Docks to shame. They even give traditional bookshelves a run for their money, despite having a footprint of only 4" x 5.5". The A2s produce a full sound, complete with good bass, and get loud enough to rock an office, or fill a small/medium room at
slightly lower volumes. At $200 shipped, consider me hugely impressed. Short Version: For this quality of sound, at this size, and at this price, I don't know of any competition for the A2."

iOnMac - A2 Review
"Audioengine has done it again. After wowing us with the A2’s big brother the A5, Audioengine has once again made us drool just a little with the sound and style of the newest addition to their line up, the A2. Audioengine has an eye for design, and that is a fact. All of the style that went in to the A5 is back again in a speaker that is 1/3 the size of it’s big brother. Upon first opening the box you will see that everything is wrapped up in to soft cloth pouches." Website | PDF
ProductWiki - A2 Review
"Audioengine A2 are high-quality powered speakers designed to be hooked up to your media player or computer. They are marketed as the "little brother" to the popular Audioengine A5 speakers, retailing for $150 cheaper, coming in at around $200."
